3 Reasons God Is Going to Turn It Around

There is a great song written by anointed writer, Derrick Thomas, that I have sung many times on the TBN Network. The song is entitled, “God said He would Turn it Around.”

I love to minister this song because of the message. The lyrics promise that God can change a situation in a person’s life. And today, I want to give you three reasons why God is going to turn the situation around in your life that YOU are going through.

The first thing that needs to be established is the “it” that we are talking about.

What is the thing–the “it”–that you need God to turn around in your life?

Before you can assess the revelation of why God is going to turn it around, you must first identify the “it” that you are up against. Now what you need to know is, with God, it really doesn’t matter what you may be facing:

  • It doesn’t matter how big or how small your situation may seem to you.

  • It doesn’t matter what people have said.

  • It doesn’t matter what people have not said.

The most important thing is to see your situation turn around, so you must have faith. FAITH IS DEFINITELY REQUIRED!

The Bible clearly declares:

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6).

Faith is the vehicle you will need to see the miracle in your life come forth supernaturally.

I remember an incredible revelation that my husband and I received many years ago, as we were seeking the Lord about our ministry. We had begun a season of fasting and prayer, and we were believing for God to turn some situations around in our ministry and our finances.

After much seeking in one of our all-night prayer meetings, literally, through the Holy Spirit, I heard a word from the Lord. He told us to go on our back deck and turn around three times–in representation of the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost–and then shout!

I thought that was a very odd instruction; but on the other hand, that’s what we were praying for: a turnaround!

I shared this revelation with Jamie, my husband. Then, we went onto our back deck to do as the Lord had instructed us.

Mind you, the Lord didn’t inform us that our next-door neighbors would be on their back deck also, enjoying a nice warm spring morning. So, we went in faith! We prayed together, and then we proceeded to obey our instructions to turn around three times as we said, “In the name of the Father, in the name of the Son, and in the name of the Holy Ghost.”

What followed were very loud shouts of, “HALLELUJAH, PRAISE GOD, THANK YOU JESUS, YOU’RE TURNING IT LORD, WHOOO HOOOO!!” 🙂

These shouts were coming from our lips very forcefully–and, may I just add, very loudly! Without hesitation, our neighbors abruptly got up out of their easy chairs and went inside, looking like they had seen a ghost. It didn’t deter us; we had a word from the Lord and we needed a miracle!

I would say the same thing to you:

Don’t let people–what they think about you or say about you–prohibit you from being obedient to the voice of God, no matter how ridiculous you may feel or look. God will take the “foolish things of the world to confound the wise” (1 Corinthians 1:27).

So, what are the three reasons God is going to turn your situation around?

First of all, you have a promise and a word from God. Someone has said, “One word from God can change everything.” If you have a word from the Lord that has come through the Bible, your pastor, an evangelist, a prayer partner, a dream, or anything else that is God and Word-centered, you can count on it. IT MUST AND IT WILL COME TO PASS!

God told Abraham, “I am going to send you away from your Father’s house, your people, your environment, your comfortable place and position, and I’m going to take you to a place that I will show you.” This is what He promised Abram (Abraham) in Genesis 12:

• “You will be great;” • “I will multiply you;” • “I will make your name great;” • “I will bless you and curse your enemies;” • “In you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

God made that promise to Abraham and to his seed, and He kept every word. Even though there were times Abram doubted and seemingly went into left field, for the most part he walked in the faithfulness of the Word of the Lord and saw it fulfilled in his life.

The next reason God is going to turn it around in your life is because He is a miracle-working God.

He specializes in miracles. There is nothing too hard for the Lord.

There is a story that took place in chapter 9 of Matthew’s gospel:

18) A synagogue leader came and knelt before him and said, “My daughter has just died. But come and put your hand on her, and she will live.” 19) Jesus got up and went with him, and so did his disciples. 23) When Jesus entered the synagogue leader’s house and saw the noisy crowd and people playing pipes, 24) he said, “Go away. The girl is not dead but asleep.” But they laughed at him. 25) After the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took the girl by the hand, and she got up.

You talk about a turnaround! That, my friend, was a turnaround!

The synagogue leader had come to Jesus and said, “My daughter is dead, but if you will come and put your hand on her, she will live.” Jesus knew the little girl was dead, but He was always looking for opportunities to show the people the miracle-working power of His Father. He was always proving that He was the true Messiah.

God wants to give you a miracle and a turnaround because He wants to use it to help someone else’s life turn around. He is always seeking those He can save, and your miracle may be the next one that God will use to give someone else their turnaround!

The last reason is God’s desire is to always give His children the best.

Psalms 37:4 declares, “Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.” It is always the desire of the Father to see that all your needs are met and that you have ALL YOU NEED AND WANT!

John said, “Beloved I wish above all things that you prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers” (3 John 1:2).

When you’re in a situation that seems insurmountable, the one ploy of the enemy is to have you fixate your mind on the thought that it will always be this way.

The enemy wants you to think that God doesn’t hear and answer prayer. He would lie and tell you that you are the only one going through something of this magnitude.

But, if you’ll begin to magnify God instead of magnifying the problem, you will learn that praise is the best way to see that thing turn around the quickest. Jeremiah said through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, “Call unto me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things that you know not of” (Jeremiah 33:3).

God wants to turn this situation around in your life more than you want Him to turn it around.

Seems silly, doesn’t it? But oh, so true! He wants to prove that He is God in your life and above Him, there is no other.

So be obedient to the Spirit.

Tell that liar, the devil, to get out of your life and out of your situation.

Right now, I believe I hear some doors opening–even a patio door sliding open–and someone is getting ready to walk onto their back deck or into their front yard (or wherever it may be) and “turn it around.” Let’s hope you have good neighbors!

Friend, I am believing for your turnaround! Let me hear about your miracle.
